At the Berlin Scrumtisch in February 2010, Alan Atlas gave a presentation about his role regarding Scrum at Amazon (starting as early as back in 2004).

This presentation described how scrum was adopted by more than half of the software developers at Amazon. Amazon’s corporate and development cultures played important roles, both positive and negative. With no executive sponsorship, adoption occurred primarily a team at a time. The wide range of success across teams and organizations leads to a number of important lessons learned with regard to enterprise scrum adoption.

As always we put theory into practice by building a LEGO City at the end of a Scrum training. The attendees are challenged to build a LEGO City from a Product Backlog in a very limited building time, of course using Scrum. This lets the people really feel what it means to self-organize, to sprint and to have a retrospective. Also working against a Product Backlog and with a Product Owner is something that you need to experience.

Configurable columns in the new backlog

Now you can configure the columns in every backlog to your hearts content. (And we respect the columns that you configured for each backlog instead of showing the default columns). To configure this yourself, go to Admin > Backlogs, then choose your backlog and enable/ disable what you want. (Note, editable columns are still hard-coded, and sorting rules are not yet supported)
