Another great Scrumtisch in Berlin Friedrichshain in a new location - 100Wasser. Various peoples from different companies and backgrounds interested in participating in discussions on Scrum came together. The hottest topic was the merging of Scrum with Kanban, but we also talked about the Sprint to Zero Problem and How to fight Bad Scrum.

Alan Atlas was talking about his time @Amazon and how they do or do not Scrum in the S3 project.
At the Berlin Scrumtisch in February 2010, Alan Atlas gave a presentation about his role regarding Scrum at Amazon (starting as early as back in 2004).
This presentation described how scrum was adopted by more than half of the software developers at Amazon. Amazon’s corporate and development cultures played important roles, both positive and negative. With no executive sponsorship, adoption occurred primarily a team at a time. The wide range of success across teams and organizations leads to a number of important lessons learned with regard to enterprise scrum adoption.

This evening Marion organised another successful Scrumtisch: Usually we either meet for timeboxed discussions on Scrum and agile development questions or a speaker is invited to present his favourite Scrum or Lean or Agile topic.
Today Markus Frick gave a presentation of how Scrum was introduced at SAP, a German software company. They started implementing Scrum in a “small” team of about 60 people, organised in about six to seven teams.
