From Requirement to User Story

Requirements Engineering is also one of the major challenges when it comes to agile software projects. More and more companies are successfully introducing iterative and incremental “methods” such as Scrum in order

to optimize the software development,
achieve better quality and
implement client requirements faster.

In agile projects completing the sprints successfully highly depends on how well the product backlog is kept, thereby demonstrating how effectively and safely the requirements are elicited.

This intensive training teaches you the techniques you need for the practical work with Requirements Management in Agile Methods such as Scrum.

Part 1:

Requirements Elicitation:

Using theoretical fundamentals and practical exercises you’ll learn methods for documenting, defining and prioritizing client requirements. You’ll find out how to create a solid product backlog and what you have to do to prepare a successful iteration.

Part 2:

What are User Stories and how do I Write Good User Stories:

As soon as the requirements are understood and prioritized, you’ll have to turn them into User Stories that fulfill the following criteria: Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimatable, Small und Testable (INVEST). Find out during this part of the training what makes a good User Story and which linguistic subtleties demand close attention.

The seminar was created for product owners and/or all those working in agile teams involved in requirements engineering.
