We get lots of questions on how to do a proper daily standup works. Well, that can't be said in one simple sentence.
There are some companies that practice transparency to a level that only a few do. Hashrocket for example (the tagline is: "No we are not a company that deals hash to junkies in outer space")
They regularly put up videos on Vimeo of how their own agile process works - and I really like them.

Things I especially like about them:
- Actually the whole company is present there and it is used for announcements too, this really gets everyone in the company on the same level
- The pass around a Talking Stick to signal who may speak - which is a great way to get the group focused
- They really go into some technical detail on what they learned when doing their work
