Agile Methods versus Traditional Development
The keynote of Andrea Tomasini at the House of Open Scrum in Munich will highlight the differences between agile methods and traditional development approaches.
I am one of the founders of agile42. Even though I am not an engineer I consider myself almost a "Techi" as I have been working in the field of software development for 10 years now.
On the 7th of October 2009 the House of Open Scrum opens the door for everybody interested in Scrum, agile and lean ways of working.
Andrea Tomasini will talk in his keynote about: Why Scrum Works
There are fundamental difference of all agile methodes, in comparison with the traditional software development approaches. Following the "style" of the agile manifesto we can bring them to the point:
- Fact based development over requirements assumptions
- Market driven features over upfront specifications
- Flexible development over predefined plans
- Agile leadership instead of command and control
