Agile in the Bathtub

How does a company produce bathtubs in an agile way?

After significant downsizing, a traditional top-down org started to apply agile/lean to their product development. Starting there with Kanban for Portfolio Management, even other departments started to adopt Agile/Lean principles: all in a non-software context!

I gave a talk at Agile2012 in Dallas yesterday, where I told the interesting story of a successful transition.
