Scrum and ETF in German journal BANKMAGAZIN
Agile methodologies are discussed in an article by Christian Kemper appearing this month on the German publication BANKMAGAZIN, specialising in topics for the finance professionals.
Titled Innovation goes different (Innovation geht anders in original), it explains that “the digital revolution in German banking institutions is taking place in an orderly fashion. However, in order to develop new ideas flexibility is needed.” In Germany, when a new digital bank service is set up online, it is usually already outdated. Long, drawn-out decision-making processes delay the release to the market. That’s the reason why it has been so difficult for these institutions to race at the same pace as the fast moving young, innovative finance and technology companies or Fintechs.
The article goes on to illustrate Scrum and features an interview with agile42 founder and CEO Marion Eickmann who explains the Enterprise Transition Framework used by agile42 in large organizations, which relies on pilot projects to be used as experiments before rolling out a larger transition company-wide. A diagram of the ETF is included in the piece.
