Choose your date for the Advanced ScrumMaster class

agile42 offers the new Advanced Certified ScrumMaster class (A-CSM) in a number of locations in the second half of 2018

Second half of the year is going to be very exciting, as we are starting to offer advanced classes for ScrumMasters and other practitioners who want to take the next step in learning, scaling, and dealing with resistance, in order to become true experts. Our book The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Agile Coaching is a good starting point to explore our approach to coaching and facilitating teams.

The Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) we offer is part of the new Scrum Alliance Advanced Certification path that started in 2017 and it’s designed to build on your foundational knowledge with enhanced skills for the implementation of Scrum and Agile techniques within your company and teams. 

In order to obtain the A-CSM certification, you will need to attend the 2-day A-CSM training, hold an active CSM certificate and demonstrate at least one-year work experience specific to the role of ScrumMaster (from within the past five years). In true agile42 style, our global team of coaches will offer A-CSM classes in different cities in Europe, North America and South Africa.

In this A-CSM course, we will recap the Agile principles and practices, whilst focusing on the role of the ScrumMaster. With regards to the Development Team, we will cover facilitation, coaching techniques, team dynamics, and ways of removing internal and external impediments. We will also spend time on more advanced practical knowledge, such as Engineering Practices and understanding the Definition of Done. We will focus on the collaboration with the Product Owner, forming a Product Vision, and the advanced approach to artifacts such as the Product Backlog and Refinement. Finally, we will look at the ScrumMaster’s ability to create change at an organizational level, how to scale Scrum, and the potential for personal self-development.
