It is a 2+ days, blended learning programme, that addresses the challenges experienced in getting real change; in action, behaviour and results, to emerge from group work sessions. Experienced practitioners often talk about facilitation as a ‘dance’ and dancing is about the effortless blending of style (art) and technique (science). This programme adopts a similar philosophy. The modules build on your past facilitation experience, adding further techniques, and teaching you to dance with them, whilst learning the art, and enabling you to create magic in your interventions. Masterful facilitation requires more than just following a recipe. It requires you to be mindful of yourself, of others and of context; to have structures, tools and techniques; to have the courage to experiment with them; and to develop your art. The magic is in the results: Moving to real outcomes faster in a meeting / work session Resolving constraints (visible and hidden) Getting clear decisions with buy in Building trust, collaboration and accountability Seeing real change in action, behaviour and results emerge after group work sessions. The format The programme begins with an online orientation session to ensure that you are ready to hit the ground running two days later, when you will be immersed in a deep, practical, interactive and experiential learning experience, for two full days, in venue. You then have two weeks to put into practise what you have learnt, in your own real life workspace. After which you will participate in an online group session where you will be coached to unblock any challenges you may have experienced, or to achieve even greater results. You will have access to online support for the full duration of the programme. The diagram below gives you a full picture of how the program is structured: How you will benefit: At the end of the programme you will: Be able to establish safety and trust so participants engage fully. Be able to guide a group/team to engage in the robust interaction that is essential for continuous improvement, for high performing teams, and for getting results out of any work session. Know how to safely surface the ‘elephants in the room’ so the real issues can be resolved. Have learnt a process for effective conflict management. Understand and be able to cope with common pitfalls of facilitation. Be aware of your own role in the group dynamics, and manage your responses constructively. Be able to create the springboard for real change in actions and behaviours to emerge from every session. Have learnt new tools, activities, techniques and structures. Be part of an online group for support that continues beyond the programme. Be able to blend the art and the science of facilitation on your journey to mastery.
