Is this the right course for you? Being a manager in an Agile environment is a challenging job. On one hand, you know that self-organizing teams are essential in order to succeed. However, on the other hand, it feels uncomfortable to not have full control over the activities that take place. Ask Yourself: Now that the Agile train has started rolling, have you questioned your own position and relevance? Are you met with expectations from your peers and employer to stay on top of things? Are you being told by your team members to back off and step aside? What is Certified Agile Leadership (CAL)? The Certified Agile Leadership (CAL) is the Scrum Alliance educational program for people like you. It aims to provide you with the best possible frameworks and tools to do the following: 1. Lead the Agile transformation in your organization 2. Foster an Agile culture to achieve high performance 3. Apply Agile principles in your day-to-day interaction with team members This will help you and your company BE agile instead of just DO Scrum. Note: The Certified Agile Leadership is a two-level certification program. Upon the successful completion of this 2-day course, participants will earn their CAL-1 certification. CAL-1 Course Overview: Our program consists of the following: Participant Preparation, CAL-1 Workshop (2.5-Day), and a Post Training Program. With the inclusion of peer discussion groups as well as the creation of a coaching and personal development plan, agile42 has uniquely designed the Post Training Program to help you achieve two objectives: 1. Continue to grow as an Agile Leader 2. Sketch out a possible path leading towards the CAL-2 credential level Further Breakdown of the CAL-1 Program: Part ONE: Participant Preparation We will send you an invitation letter containing 3 different assignments that you must prepare for prior to the workshop. You will learn about the practice of the Gemba Walk and we will also explain the concept of Leadership in an Agile Context - encouraging you as a leader to be present, aware, and engaged. Preparation Time: 3-4 hours Purpose: To provide you an outline of the Agile Overview learning objective Expectation: You will be asked to share your preparation work and results with the other workshop participants. Part TWO: CAL-1 Workshop (Refer to Workshop Agenda) Throughout the training, the instructor will make use of a specific Case Study to present examples, reflections and exercises. During the training, we will provide an empty booklet for you to take notes about your own journey. Expectation: You will be asked to document your activities and self-reflections.
