Corporate Social Responsibility

At agile42 we are passionate and committed to help individuals, teams and enterprises build a more human and sustainable workplace as well as a sustainable society.

We believe that the only way to create organizations that are fit for the future is to create organizations that are fit for human beings and the environment.

For us Corporate Social Responsibility is therefore a multi-faceted commitment that covers diverse aspects:

  • Reducing carbon footprints
  • Improving labor policies
  • Charitable giving
  • Volunteering in the community
  • Socially and environmentally conscious investments

Here is what we do in the different areas above.

Reducing carbon footprints

We plan our flight trips with green airlines and use environmentally friendly hotels.

We prefer public to private transportation and aim at traveling the minimum by making use of our local and regional presence.

At the same time we are looking into offering more and more online and remote services as well as e-learning, in order to minimize our need and the need of our clients to travel.

We do careful recycling at all our offices, we managed to go paperless at some of them and we donate money to compensate for the carbon footprint due to our travels and people travelling to our classes.

Improving labor policies

Everyone is talented beyond their awareness and means. We help people to discover that talent and perform to their potential, achieving a higher level of satisfaction in the process. We enable and encourage them to challenge the status quo, act on their passion for learning and have fun.

We value diversity and inclusion in all forms within our team and at our clients because a team of cognitively diverse people is best equipped to face the complex challenges of our century. That’s why we are proud of our multicultural team with amazing people from 18 different nationalities and 4 continents which we believe represents our biggest asset.

We live up to the Lean principle of Respecting People, which means giving our employees and partners what they need to do a good job and trust they will.

Communication, collaborative decision making and the satisfaction of our employees are very important to us.

In particular, the effort put into projects, working hours and compensations are discussed and if possible should always lead to a consensus between the employees and management.

Charitable giving

We take money from tickets sold to our public training classes or from coaching engagements where we need to travel and donate to charity at the end of the calendar year.

Here are some of the environmental charities organizations we donate money to:

Volunteering in the community

Obtaining a quality education is the foundation for creating sustainable development. In addition to improving quality of life, access to inclusive education can help equip students with the tools required to develop innovative solutions to the world’s greatest problems.

That is why we offer pro-bono training classes to people in need and university students to build the next generation of leaders our organizations and society need. We have also worked with local schools introducing agile concepts to teachers during their professional development day because a better education system will shape a better future.

We offer free consulting, coaching and facilitation services to non-profit organizations that run social projects or support local entrepreneurs in developing countries. Here you can find some stories about what we do in this area:

Socially and environmentally conscious investments

We have invested in Cognitive Edge, a well-known company that is active in building methods, tools, and capability to apply Complex Adaptive Systems. Cognitive Edge actively participates in a range of academic and government research as well as taking some of the latest insights from natural science and applying them to solve real-world complex problems, like climate change or unemployment.

We are also investing in green energy in Africa and other developing regions, for example lending money to Trine which is committed to convert traditional power generators in 3rd world countries to more modern solar plants.
